Membership Eligibility

The field of membership of Washington County Teachers Federal Credit Union is limited to that stated in section 5 of its charter and as amended on February 12, 1990, and having the common bond as stated below:

Employees of the Board of Education of Washington County, Hagerstown, Maryland and their families
Employees of Hagerstown Community College, Hagerstown, Maryland and their families
Organizations affiliated with the Board of Education of Washington County or Hagerstown Community College.
Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union; employees of this credit union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment; members of their immediate families; and organizations of such persons.

To join WCTFCU, you must open a Share (Savings) Account with a minimum deposit of $5. Once you join WCTFCU, your membership is good for life no matter where you live or work as long as you maintain your accounts in good standing. Even if you change jobs, move, or retire your membership will remain unchanged. Your immediate family members are also welcome to join the credit union. They can take advantage of all the credit union products and services that you have come to depend on, such as great rates, money-saving products, convenience and a friendly and knowledgeable credit union staff.
