A Notary is a public officer who serves as an impartial witness to the signing of documents and to the acknowledgment of signatures on documents.
Several Credit Union employees are available to notarize documents during business hours. Please call ahead to confirm availability of a Notary Public. This service is free to our members. Non-members must pay industry standard fees in cash. To help us serve you better, please keep the following in mind:
-
Bring government issued photo ID
-
Do NOT sign your documents until you are in the presence of the Notary
-
If the document requires more than one person to sign, ALL persons must be present
-
Non-members must pay fees in cash
You should have already read the documents and know what you are signing or certifying. It is not the responsibility of the Notary Public to review and explain the documents to you. The notary is simply certifying that YOU signed the document(s).
